ConferenceBuddy is built with a privacy-first approach. Here's the short version:

Your contacts, notes, and networking data stay on your device — we never see them
We collect only limited technical data to keep the app running well
We use trusted third-party partners for analytics, infrastructure, and error monitoring
We do not sell your data — ever

1 · Data We Collect

In-App Usage Data

We collect limited in-app analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This includes which screens you visit and which features you interact with. We do not track your external web browsing history.

IP address and device information
In-app navigation and feature interactions
System logs and performance metrics

Badge Scanning Data

When you scan a conference badge, text extracted from the image (such as names, companies, and job titles) is processed via Groq's AI to populate your local contact database. This data is not stored on our servers.

Account Data

If you create an account, we may collect your email address and authentication information necessary to provide access to the Service.

2 · Local Storage

Any contact information, meeting notes, or networking data you enter is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database.

This data is not transmitted to our servers
We cannot access, view, recover, or delete it on your behalf
To delete it, use the "Reset App Data" option in Settings or uninstall the app
